Hall County Sheriff's Department Has Productive Drive Sober Campaign

September 8, 2026 As previously released to the media, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office had been awarded $2596.64 from the Nebraska Department of Transportation to work overtime enforcement from August 21st through September 7th for the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” grant. During this grant, deputies worked 36 hours of selective enforcement on overtime which resulted in the following activity: 

5 DUI arrests
17 citations for speeding
8 citations for no operator’s license
4 citations for stoplight violations
1 citation for driving left of center
7 citations for stop sign violations
1 arrest for reckless driving
2 citations for driving during suspension
1 citation for careless driving
2 citations for no proof of insurance
1 arrest for felony flight to avoid arrest
8 citations for no registration
3 citations for failure to maintain lane
1 arrest for transporting a child while intoxicated
9 citations for minor in possession
1 citation for zero tolerance (.02)
2 arrests for refusal of PBT/chemical test
1 arrest for carrying a concealed handgun while under the influence
4 citations for uncovered load
1 arrest for possession of a controlled substance
1 citation for open container
1 citation for no motorcycle endorsement
